SMS Text Messaging Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the text messaging (SMS) program (“Program”) offered by the North Alabama Homebuilding Academy (“NAHA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for its Go Build HSV residential construction training programs. By opting in to receive text messages from NAHA, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not opt in, or reply STOP to opt out at any time.
2. Description of the Program
The Program is used to send informational text messages to prospective, incoming, and current students, including:
-
Class and cohort start dates, schedule changes, and reminders
-
Weather-related closures, delays, or safety announcements
-
Other program updates, such as location changes or general announcements
The Program is not used to send marketing or promotional messages.
3. Eligibility
You must have the legal right to use the mobile number you provide and be authorized to consent to receive text messages at that number. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to participate in the Program.
4. Consent to Receive Messages
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in through an enrollment or intake form, sign-up sheet, or web form, you consent to receive recurring text messages from NAHA related to your enrollment or participation in a NAHA training program. Consent to receive messages is not required to enroll in or participate in any NAHA program, and is not a condition of any purchase (no purchase is associated with this Program).
5. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on program activity and current events (for example, more messages around a new cohort start date or during severe weather).
6. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier and plan. NAHA is not responsible for any charges billed by your wireless carrier.
7. How to Opt Out or Get Help
Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out of the Program; you will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again. Reply HELP to any message, or contact us using the information in Section 12, for assistance.
8. Supported Carriers
The Program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Supported carriers may change at any time without notice. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Program is also governed by the NAHA SMS Text Messaging Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect through the Program and how we use, share, and protect it. Please review that policy alongside these Terms.
10. Program Availability and Changes
NAHA may add, change, or discontinue the Program, or any feature of it, at any time and without notice, including changes to the phone number or short code used to send messages. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision. Continued participation in the Program after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability
The Program is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. NAHA does not guarantee that any message will be delivered or received in a timely manner, or at all, as delivery is subject to factors outside our control, including performance of wireless networks and carriers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NAHA is not liable for any delayed, undelivered, or misdirected messages, or for any damages arising from your participation in, or inability to participate in, the Program.
