2026-2027 Plumbers & Gas Fitters Journeyman Prep Program
Purpose: To give individuals with a current Alabama Plumbers Apprentice Card the educational resources to pass the state journeyman exam and to reduce the required apprenticeship from two years to one year.
Huntsville Class Location: North Alabama Homebuilding Academy, 3219 Long Avenue SW, Huntsville, AL 35805
Huntsville Dates: September 14, 2026 – May 24, 2027 (36 Classes meeting Mondays 6:00-9:00 p.m.)
Guntersville Class Location: NAHA Marshall County, 12312 US Highway 431 S, Guntersville, AL 35976
Guntersville Dates: September 14, 2026 – May 24, 2027 (36 Classes meeting Mondays 6:00-9:00 p.m.)
Cost: $1,250 per student (3% service charge if paying with debit or credit card)
Class Size: Class will be limited to 12 students. Enrollment will be on a first come, first served basis.
Class Benefits:

Allows graduates to sit for the Journeyman exam after 1 full year working experience.

2 class code review classes taught by representative of the Alabama Plumbers and Gas Fitters Examining Board.

Copy of the ICC Plumbing Code Book and the ICC Fuel Gas Code Book provided for each student

Copy of ICC Plumbing Code Study Companion and ICC Fuel Gas Code Study Companion provided for each student

Submit registration form, signed student handbook, and copy of Alabama Plumbers Apprentice Card via email (tommy.davis@gobuildhsv.org), mail, or in person at NAHA, located at 3219 Long Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805

Submit payment by mailing a check to NAHA, delivering a check* in-person to NAHA, or by paying online** via the link below.
*If paying by check, please make it to North Alabama Homebuilding Academy.
